Jul 27, 2020 - Firm News by

We are pleased to share that on Friday, July 24, Mitchell L. Herren was confirmed by the United States 10th Circuit Court of Appeals as the newest Federal bankruptcy judge for the District of Kansas. He replaces Judge Robert Nugent who retired earlier this month. We are very happy for Judge Herren and honored that he has been a member of our firm.

Judge Herren began with Hinkle in 2002. During his time at Hinkle, Mitch served as a managing member from 2007 – 2014 and was a key member of the firm’ litigation group. He has been a very important part of the firm’s success.

Mitch becomes the second federal judge appointed from Hinkle Law Firm. Judge John W. Broomes was confirmed by the United States Senate as a United States District Judge for the District of Kansas in 2018. Judge Broomes administered the oath to Judge Herren.
