It is with profound sadness that Hinkle Law Firm LLC announces the passing of our partner and friend, Hugh W. Gill. Hugh passed away peacefully following a courageous health battle. His enduring positivity and resilience were an inspiration to all who knew him.

Hugh joined Hinkle Law Firm in 1996 and quickly became an integral part of our firm. His sharp intellect, deep integrity, and warm collegiality earned him the respect and admiration of clients, colleagues, and peers alike.

Hugh was not only a gifted attorney but also a pillar of the legal community in Kansas. He served with distinction as Chairman of the Kansas Continuing Legal Education (CLE) Commission and held leadership roles as past president of both the Wichita Bar Association and the Wichita Estate Planning Council. He also served on the University Of Kansas Law School Board Of Governors. He was a respected Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC), where his knowledge and dedication elevated the standards of excellence in the areas of trust and estate planning.

Hugh’s legacy of service, leadership, and compassion will remain deeply embedded in the culture of our firm and the broader legal community. He will be remembered not only for his professional achievements but for his humility, kindness, and the many lives he touched.
