Oct 3, 2016 - News by

On Tuesday, September 13, 2016, the Hinkle Law Firm LLC defense team of Mark R. Maloney and Gregory S. Young obtained a defense verdict on behalf of two general surgeons in a medical malpractice lawsuit.  The case was tried in Saline County, Kansas.

The Plaintiff alleged both defendants deviated from the accepted standards of care in their performance of a bilateral thyroidectomy.   Plaintiff alleged that the surgery was negligently performed as the recurrent laryngeal nerves were not properly identified and protected, which resulted in bilateral vocal cord paralysis.  Plaintiff further alleged that Dr. M (the primary surgeon) failed to timely diagnose the condition post operatively which prevented her from a play roulette online in canada better chance of having surgery to repair the nerve injuries.   The trial lasted six days and involved the testimony of multiple expert witnesses as well several other treating physicians.

After only 28 minutes of deliberations the jury found no fault as to both defendant physicians.

Congratulations to the Mark, Greg and their staff for their hard work on this case.
