     October 3, 2023 - February 29, 2024
     10:00 am - 11:00 am

Join us for this informative update on two critical employment law topics. In back to back sessions, we will explore the Department of Labor’s proposed overtime regulations and their implications for employers, followed by an important overview of recent developments in pregnancy discrimination law. Our goal is to provide you with the knowledge and strategies necessary to navigate these complex employment law matters. More information on each topic is below. THIS IS A VIDEO PLAYBACK OF OUR OCTOBER 3, 2023 SESSION.

Session 1 The DOL’s Proposed Overtime Regulations: What They Are and How Employers Can Prepare

On August 30, 2023, the Department of Labor proposed new overtime regulations that would expand overtime protections to millions of employees. Specifically, the proposed regulations seek to raise the Fair Labor Standards Act’s (FLSA) exempt employee salary threshold to $55,068, meaning employees will need to earn this much or more annually to be exempt from overtime pay. This seminar will cover the details of the proposed regulations, their potential impact on employers, and what employers should be doing now to prepare.

Session 2: Pregnancy Discrimination in the Workplace: What Employers Need to Know

This presentation will provide an overview on recent developments on pregnancy discrimination in the workplace with an emphasis on the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission’s recent proposed regulations on the new law as well as the Providing Urgent Maternal Protections for Nursing Mothers Act (PUMP Act).
