Makaela Stevens joined Hinkle Law Firm LLC in August 2024. As an associate attorney, she primarily supports the firm’s civil litigation practice and is based at the firm’s Wichita office.

While earning her Juris Doctor, Makaela interned at many prestigious legal organizations. Her first intern experience was with the United States Law Library of Congress. During her time there, she conducted research and wrote blogs and story maps for the publication.

In 2022, she worked for the District of Kansas’s United States Attorney’s Office. There she performed research for criminal and civil matters, in addition, to drafting criminal complaints and indictments and assisting in trial preparations.

Makaela clerked at Hinkle Law during the summer of 2023, learning about various practice areas and working closely with seasoned attorneys.

Makaela is a Scott City, Kansas native. When not working, Makaela enjoys reading, playing the piano, and watching K-State sports.
