Ms. Silva devotes a large part of her practice to advising employers and representing them in litigation on federal and state employment laws, including FMLA, ADA, and FLSA. Ms. Silva’s practice also includes representing clients in complex civil litigation, in both State and Federal Courts throughout the State of Kansas.
Prior to joining the firm, she worked for over 11 years as a clerk to a federal Judge in the District of Kansas, where she had extensive involvement in employment law and commercial cases and saw firsthand the issues faced by employers.
Ms. Silva completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. After graduation, she worked for a non-profit organization in Kansas City, Kansas, providing services to families and children. Ms. Silva earned her law degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City, with distinction.
