Mr. Burgardt was born and raised in Wichita, Kansas, and received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, emphasizing in Finance, from Kansas State University. While earning his Juris Doctor from the University of Missouri – Kansas City, Mr. Burgardt served as research editor of The Urban Lawyer law journal. He also participated in the Kansas City Tax Clinic, where he assisted qualifying taxpayers in resolving federal and state tax controversies. Also while in law school, Mr. Burgardt was selected to participate in the Ellison Moot Court Competition, and later served on the UMKC Moot Court Board. He was a member of the Student Bar Association and the Delta Theta Phi Legal Fraternity.

Mr. Burgardt joined Hinkle Law Firm LLC as an associate attorney in 2009, and works primarily in the firm’s civil litigation practice group, dealing with commercial litigation and insurance defense, and assisting in a range of cases involving personal injury and casualty loss.
